Distilled spirits made from locally grown lotus roots, "Torou lotus roots" have a kick with 40%-alcohol content

In the first step we steam local Totiu lotus roots and mix them with unrefined alcohol before fermenting. We boil the unrefined alcohol, which has fermented and cool the steam. We then pour into the bottles without adding any water leaving the alcohol content at 40%.
